Description of volunteer position:

 

Responsibilities (* is urgent!):

  • Assist implementation of the conference, back and forth necessary changes, tasks, and achieving goals for the event

*  Help to coordinate training events for various language constituencies, including invitations, translations, resource preparation and distribution, also follow-up

*  Proofreading to ensure accurate translation and publication of all language resources in writing and in electronic media, participating in translation and editing where needed

  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals

 

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience in project and personnel management in a ministry context
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to details
  • Experience with administration, and participation in multiple simultaneous projects in a ministry environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer skills
  • Appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Fluency in English, and/or Chinese, Spanish, other languages

Marketing & Communication Volunteers

We are currently searching for remote Marketing volunteers who can assist with social media, communications, increasing our brand, this conference, other events and partnerships, implementing campaigns, creating graphics and posts; fundraising, engaging with the community on LifeAbove behalf.  

Ideal candidates are part-time or working but dedicated to committing the time required.

Qualification preferred:

  • Minimum of 7 hours volunteer engagement per week
  • Certain education in Marketing or communications preferred
  • Experience working in marketing with social media/communications preferred
  • High energy, maturity, and leadership with the ability to serve as a unifying force for achieving the goals
  • Sincere commitment to work collaboratively
  • Self-starter, able to work virtually, independently who enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives
  • Comfortable working in a startup phase non-profit setting

The Volunteer Coordinator

 

Connect with newsletter readers, social media subscribers, participants, event donors, and other volunteers who are located in different places by providing information about LifeAbove online conferences, training opportunities, other events, sharing the stories of viewers and audience experiences, thanking donors for their gifts, etc. The Coordinator communicates via phone, e-mail, and SNS, represents LifeAbove in online events, updates, and supervises volunteers on LifeAbove projects.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience in project and personnel management in a ministry context

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to details
  • Experience with administration, and participation in a ministry environment

  • Commensurate education in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience

The Committee Team Coordinator

 

Responsible for the following:

1.)  Written and editing translations

2.)  Assisting with website, social media, and newsletter development

3.)  Assisting with publishing efforts (printing, permissions, promotion, sales, distribution)

4.)  Responding to inquiries from the public

5.)  General duties including but not limited to word processing; database management; subscriber list maintenance; answering questions through phone and/or email.

6.) Other tasks as directed or regular additional project responsibilities as assigned due to the emerged needs

7.)  Assisting with campaign development

8.)  Assisting with event planning, promotion, and coordination

9.)   Representing the team at events if needed

 

Web Developer Volunteer

LifeAbove is looking for someone to maintain and update their websites. Knowledge of WordPress is important and knowledge of HTML/CSS/JQUERY/Javascript is helpful but not necessary.

  • To provide mental health care in counseling and coaching, to train and coach others how to care for themselves and others from a Christian perspective.
  • To bring understanding and bridge the gap between Christian faith and their mental health care, to emphasize the urgency and importance in mental health care particularly trauma-informed care among care givers, missionaries, and church leaders.
  • To collaborate with other mental health providers, practitioners, healers.

Goal

  • To provide the opportunity and access for everybody to FREE online events.
  • To de-mystify and de-stigmatize trauma and its hidden impacts.
  • To advocate for mental health care and deal with the aftermath of traumatic event(s).
  • To bring hope to trauma healing that it is treatable, and the help is available. People don’t have to stay stuck.
  • To inform and educate, prepare people for better care.
